BILDERGALERIE und LITOGRAPHIEWERKSTATT
Hasim Saydan was born 1954 in Tercan, the eastern part of Turkey, and has resided in Berlin since 1977.
He studied painting and graphics at Berlin University of the Arts in the master class of Professor Bergmann
from 1979 until 1984.
The paintings of Hasim Saydan express different aspects of human life and his art includes social-political
statements; especially the oppression of women by society. His cultural background plus the techniques and
knowledge acquired at Berlin University have fueled a desire to mold and bridge these two different cultures
closer through his artistic efforts.
He works mainly in landscapes, scenarios of life, expressions of dance and still life.
In addition to painting, he creates drawings, etchings and lithography.
Hasim Saydan is a freelance artist in Berlin.
